Exciting news! ‘Pain Is Not Our Only Paintbrush’, my latest poetry book, is now available!

I started writing this collection before the pandemic, with the aim of reaching a larger male audience. However, after the tragic murder of George Floyd, my poems became an outlet for my hurt, anger, and frustration. As I reflected, I realized my poems lacked hope. So, I refocused my collection to tell stories that offer inspiration and hope.

Black stories are often told through the lens of trauma and pain, but at the forefront of these stories are hope, love, and happiness. Pain Is Not Our Only Paintbrush is a look at the beautiful side of life’s canvas. The moments where we embrace our past by making way for our future.
