Being Honest

If we’re being honest,
every day doesn’t go as planned,
but there’s a chance that it could
turn out better than we could’ve planned.

Interruption to the norm.
Disruption to bad habits.
Known and unknown.

If we’re being honest,
our lives haven’t gone as planned,
but we can decide that today
is the last day it doesn’t.

Planning becomes the norm.
Purpose becomes evident.
Present and future.
