Love has a taste
and it’s sweet.
Not bitter like
what’s poured in
the glasses some
—bottled up
misplaced emotions.

Knock offs and
weak imitations have
cheapened the flavor
but once you taste
the original, you can
never be fooled.

Love isn’t some
tasteless poison that
we accidentally ingest.
It’s an elixir that
quenches the thirst
we didn’t know existed
while healing the exact
places where we hurt.
