Hold On

The path to hope isn’t always a straight line,
but it never goes undiscovered.
For every twist there’s a better turn.
Through ups and downs there’s
always soft place to land.
For every tear cried, there’s a smile on the other side.
Hold on to hope.
Once you’ve held on to hope it’s hard to let go.
Pain may try to convince you that
hurt is all you’ll ever feel.
But joy knows your name and it’s waiting with open arms.
Disappointment may try to convince you
that happiness won’t return.
Your laughter will fill the room once again.
You will smile again.
Isolation may try to convince you
that lonely is all you’ll ever be.
New memories are waiting to be created.
Each chapter as important as the next.
Don’t close the book before it’s done.
Your story isn’t over.
Hold on to hope.
The weight feels heavy,
but you don’t have to carry it alone.
Don’t carry it alone.
You weren’t meant to carry it alone.
Hold on to hope.
You don’t have to have all of the answers.
None of us do.
You don’t have to be perfect.
None of us are—regardless of
what the edits and filters say.
You don’t have to fit in a box.
Don’t shrink yourself because
of someone else’s insecurities.
But you must keep going.
We need you.
You must keep going.
We love you.
You must keep going.
Hold on to hope.
